dc.description.abstractEn el presente artículo, ahondaremos en algunas investigaciones que tienen lugar en el origen de la llegada de los negros esclavos traídos de África a Venezuela. Para ello, consultamos la obra del historiador y miembro de la Academia Nacional de la Historia, Dr. Reinaldo Rojas, cuya producción se extiende en diferentes campos, sobresaliendo entre otros la historia social, política, económica, educativa y cultural de Venezuela. El estudio se centra en el primer capítulo de la obra La Rebelión del Negro Miguel y otros Estudios de Africanía publicado en el año 2005. Por lo tanto, nos enfocamos en los estudios de “Africanía” que, según Rojas, deben ser atendidos a través de un estudio crítico que desafíe el relato sesgado de la historia oficial, colocando en el centro a sus protagonistas silenciados, para poder comprender la cultura nacional. Suscribimos el método histórico derivado de la historia global o historia síntesis de la corriente historiográfica francesa. Este enfoque metodológico busca superar narrativas parciales, proporcionando una visión más completa y crítica de la historia. Finalmente, presentaremos unas consideraciones finales sobre los aportes del capítulo de la obra desde una perspectiva crítica y reflexiva. Recibido: Septiembre-2023 / Aceptado: Enero-2024es_VE

dc.description.abstract1In this article, we will delve into some research that takes place on the origin of the arrival of enslaved Africans brought to Venezuela. To this end, we consulted the work of historian and member of the National Academy of History, Dr. Reinaldo Rojas, whose production extends across different fields, standing out among others the social, political,economic, educational and cultural history of Venezuela. The study focuses on the first chapter of the work The Rebellion of Negro Miguel and Other Studies of Africanity published in 2005. Therefore, we focus on the studies of “Africanity” which, according to Rojas, must be addressed through a critical study that challenges the biased account of offi cial history, placing its silenced protagonists at the center, in order to understand the national culture. We subscribe to the historical method derived from global history or synthesis history of the French historiographical current. This methodological approach seeks to overcome partial narratives, providing a more complete and critical vision of history. Finally, we will present some final considerations on the contributions of the chapter of the work from a critical and reflective perspective.es_VE
