Adaptando un mito fundacional: Consideraciones sobre el 19 de abril de 1810 en la Colección Bicentenario
Abstract
El objetivo de la siguiente investigación es analizar cómo es presentada la fecha del 19 de Abril de 1810, en la Colección Bicentenario, un proyecto impulsado por el Estado venezolano en 2010, para conmemorar los doscientos años de historia republicana. Estos manuales escolares exponen, en las primeras páginas, que su objetivo fundamental es la formación de estudiantes críticos hacia la historia tradicional, sin embargo, hay numerosos capítulos en los cuales se recurre a una versión de la historia de Venezuela que, de alguna manera, repite el discurso de la llamada “historia patria”, suscitado durante el siglo XIX y parte del siglo XX, en la que la efeméride es interpretada como fecha fundacional del proceso emancipador, respondiendo, además, a un abusivo uso de la historia como justificación política.

In the first few pages of these textbooks, their main objective is to train students who are critical of traditional history, however, there are numerous chapters in which it is used a version of the history of Venezuela that, somehow, repeats the discourse of the so-called "historia patria", raised during the nineteenth century and part of the twentieth century, in that the anniversary is interpreted as the founding date of the emancipatory process, responding, in addition, to an abusive use of history as a political justification. |
