| es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | Our country possesses a special setting on the American continent. Schools of art come and go because art in its essence is nomadic. Quite obviously then, dance, since it is an art in which the self is the fount of inspiration, as well as the focus of research and the very representation of the art piece, is a field in which the aforesaid nomadic quality is most completely embraced. Thus, in the context of a globalization that began in the 20th Century, artistic content begins to enter new spaces, to inhabit them, and to settle. Under the premise that, “the only good is the imported good” people begin to adopt systems, among these being systems of form generated in alien contexts which create a history peculiar to Latin America. Not that such imports were “bad”, however, since these contents created by other bodies, many times we find situations in which dancers do not feel completely themselves, and are not free to create. Among other variables, the development of a Southern Anthropology coincides positively to enable spaces for body forms gestated within our own bodies so that the space can be used for ourselves. | es_VE |
