Resumen
La Fundación Biblioteca Ayacucho inicia sus actividades en medio
de unas circunstancias que colocaban a Venezuela en una posición
favorable frente al resto de las naciones vecinas de América Latina y el
Caribe. Su conformación honra el trabajo y la mística de Ángel Rama,
uno de sus principales artí ces. Ahora bien, es necesario analizar el
papel que desempeña esta editorial dentro del marco de una serie
de transformaciones desarrolladas a partir de la llegada al poder del
presidente Hugo Chávez Frías. La Fundación Biblioteca Ayacucho no
está al margen de los cambios promovidos por la Revolución Bolivariana
y las políticas culturales orientadas hacia el establecimiento de un
Estado nacional que se plantea como alternativa ante los retos de la
Globalización, a través de la implementación del Socialismo del Siglo
XXI. En este sentido, es importante analizar el contexto actual y las
implicaciones con la producción de una de las principales referencias
editoriales del hemisferio latinoamericano y caribeño.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | The Biblioteca Ayacucho Foundation begins its activities in the middle of certain circumstances that placed Venezuela in a favorable position in front of the rest of the Latin American and Caribbean Nations. The constitution of the Biblioteca Ayacucho honors the work and dedication of Ángel Rama, one of its main architects. However, is important to analyze the role of this publishing house in the framework of a series of transformations developed by the government of Hugo Chávez since his coming to power. The Bibilioteca Ayacucho Foundation is not at the margins of the changes encouraged by the Bolivarian Revolution and the cultural policies that have been oriented towards the constitution of a National State, which is seen as an alternative before the challenges presupposed by the Globalization, an alternative that is implemented by the means of the 21st Century Socialism. In this sense, is important to analyze the implications of this context on the work of one of the most important publishing houses of the Latin American and Caribbean hemisphere. |
