Abstract
El Raudal de Hípana (Jípana) u "Ombligo del Mundo" ubicado en el río Aiarí, un afluente del Río Isana en Wapúi, en el Valle del Alto Río Negro, Estado do Amazonas, Brasil, constituye el sitio más sagrado de la etnogénesis para los pueblos Maipure-Arawako del Noroeste Amazónico y su sacralidad es compartida por las sociedades indígenas de la familia lingüística Tukano en el vecino río Vaupés y con los cuales mantienen fuertes nexos culturales.
