| dc.description.abstract | El presente artículo muestra las bases teórico-metodológicas generales
que se adoptaron para el estudio de la modernización del interior doméstico
urbano y su sistema de objetos en Venezuela entre 1890 y 1950, bajo la óptica de
la historia social del diseño. Para examinar la organización espacial y el contenido
objetual de los distintos espacios que conformaban las casonas urbanas de
origen colonial se plantearon dos aproximaciones a diferente escala, lográndose
determinar el modo en que esas edificaciones fueron experimentando cambios
espaciales a través del consumo de objetos utilitarios importados. | es_VE |

for the study of the modernization of the urban domestic interior and its system
of object in Venezuela between 1890 and 1950, from the perspective of the
social history of design. To examine the spatial organization and content of the
various spaces that made up the urban houses of colonial origin, two approaches
were drawn at different scales, achieving to determine how these buildings were
experiencing spatial changes through the consumption of imported utilitarian
