Abstract
La investigación consiste en un estudio teórico de la situación jurídica en la que se encuentran las parejas o uniones entre personas del mismo sexo en el marco del Derecho Civil venezolanovigente,desde la promulgación de la Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuelade 1999 hasta el año 2013. Es un examen del marco jurídico constitucional, legal y jurisprudencial que regula directamente el tema. En una primera parte realizaremos una exposición de algunos conceptos fundamentales, luego estudiaremos la viabilidad jurídica del matrimonio y los efectos de las uniones estables entre homosexuales. Haremos énfasis en las consecuencias, patrimoniales,sucesorales y en la adopción por parte de parejas homoparentales.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | This research consists of a theoretical study of the legal situation in which couples or stable fact unions between persons of the same sex are considered in the structure of the Venezuelan Civil Law, since the promulgation of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in 1999 until 2013. The paperwork presents a review of the legal framework in a constitutional, legal and jurisprudential point of view which directly regulates the issue in the Civil Law field. The first part is an exhibition of some fundamental concepts, and then it contains a study of the legal viability of the marriage and the main effects of stable unions between homosexuals. Finally, it focuses mostly on the economic effects, wealth and in the adoption by same-sex couples led.
