Resumen en otro Idioma | This essay seeks to establish a relationship between narrative semiotic analysis and the writing of screenplays, and to demonstrate the close relationship that exists between theory and the creative act. Using an essay from Eisenstein, it will establish an analogy between metaphor and fi lm editing: the manifestation of a confl ict, present in the shot, that structures the discourse. The fi lm’s feeling is concentrated in the fi lm’s editing, this is the element that guides the creation and that should conduct the analysis. We will close with an analysis of Nelson Pereira Dos Santos film Vidas Secas. This was one of the earliest fi lms that would later become part of a powerful movement in Latin-American Cinema known as “Cinema Novo”. Cinema Novo proposed the realization of fi lms that portrayed the harsh reality of Brazil, and through which the spectator would discover the truth of his own world hidden behind the mask of false images. |
