dc.description.abstractEl Cantautor es un cronista musical que registra las percepciones de su entorno por medio de la canción. Su propuesta artística tiene antecedentes remotos que se vinculan con la mitología, su obra es un recurso fundamental en las manifestaciones culturales de los pueblos. Este acercamiento histórico refleja la importancia del Cantautor en la construcción de una identidad musical merideña durante el siglo XX, donde varios artistas documentaron la cotidianidad citadina por medio de sus canciones y generaron un impacto mediático-cultural en el colectivo. His artistic proposal has remote antecedents that are linked to mythology, his work is a fundamental resource in the cultural manifestations of the peoples. This historical approach reflects the importance of the singer-songwriter in the construction of a Meridian musical identity during the 20th century, where various artists documented the daily life of the city through their songs and generated a media-cultural impact on the collective.es_VE
