dc.description.abstractLa aurora de la globalización comienza con la apertura de los caminos de los mares y cuando los pueblos de la tierra comienzan a interactuar entre sí. Para el saber sobre el mundo se fue constituyendo una base de datos del conocimiento de los varios componentes humanos y culturales de ese mismo mundo. En este contexto, los misioneros que acompañaban a los navegantes ayudaron a recopilar y poner por escrito muchos elementos que iban dibujando el conocimiento de la tierra. Pretendemos demonstrar el papel de los Jesuitas en ese esfuerzo de fijación y difusión de la globalización del conocimiento del planeta.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The dawn of globalisation began to break with the opening of the seas and when the peoples of the Earth began to interact with one another. For this knowledge about the world, a database of knowledge of the various human and cultural components of the world was then built up. In this sense, the Christian missionaries contributed to this first database by collecting and setting down in writing many elements that came to map the global knowledge of the Earth. We intend to demonstrate the relevant role of the Jesuits in this effort to secure and disseminate the globalisation of the planetary knowledge.es_VE
