Resumen
En el presente artículo se analiza el contexto que enmarca los procesos migratorios actuales, resaltando los aspectos
relacionados con la comunidad afroecuatoriana, cuyas raíces históricas son ineludibles en el marco político, económico,
social y cultural del continente; haciéndose extensivas hasta el marco de la pandemia de COVID-19 que azota el mundo desde el
2019. En este trabajo, se presentan los resultados de una investigación documental partiendo del enfoque de la Historia de
las Relaciones Internacionales, con el fin de aportar elementos al debate analítico del tema, considerando, además de la
mirada histórica, el rol de la pobreza como aspecto que incide en la migración y la pandemia como variable que marca el
inicio de la tercera década del siglo XXI.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | This article analyzes the context that frames the current migratory processes, highlighting the aspects related to the Afro- Ecuadorian community, whose historical roots are unavoidable in the political, economic, social and cultural framework of the continent; extending to the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since 2019. In this work, the results of a documentary research are presented starting from the approach of the History of International Relations, in order to contribute elements to the analytical debate of the subject, considering, in addition to the historical perspective, the role of poverty as an aspect that affects migration and the pandemic as a variable that marks the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century. |
