| dc.description.abstract | El Estado de Cabo Verde ha puesto en práctica un conjunto de condiciones
para promover las inversiones del sector privado nacional y extranjero, en
particular en el sector del turismo. Así pues, en este artículo se propone analizar
el posicionamiento público de los diversos actores que intervienen en el turismo
en relación con los impactos del proceso de ejecución de grandes proyectos
turísticos en la isla de Boavista, Cabo Verde, tomando como referencia las
principales noticias y reportajes sobre el fenómeno publicados en la prensa
escrita y en línea desde 2007 hasta mediados de 2018. Desde la euforia inicial
ante el anuncio de las primeras grandes inversiones turísticas hasta la
constatación de que la apuesta por el modelo «todo incluido» favorece un
desarrollo desigual, excluyente y discriminatorio. La Isla de Boavista se enfrenta
hoy en día al dilema de tener que decidir entre seguir siendo la receptora de
más proyectos de expansión de capital extranjero o si provoca una reorientación
reequilibrando sus fuentes de generación de ingresos con base en un turismo
menos impactante y más inclusivo. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | The State of Cape Verde has implemented a set of conditions to promote
investments from the domestic and foreign private sector, particularly in the
tourism sector. Thus this article proposes to analyse the public positioning of
the various actors involved in tourism in relation to the impacts of the process
of implementing major tourism projects on Boavista Island, taking as a reference
the main news and reports on the phenomenon published in the written and
online press from 2007 to mid 2018. From the initial euphoria at the
announcement of the first major tourist investments to the realization that the
bet on the all inclusive model is conducive to unequal, excluding and
discriminatory development. Boavista Island is today faced with the dilemma
of having to decide between continuing to be the recipient of more projects for
the expansion of foreign capital or if it provokes a redirection rebalancing its
sources of income generation based on a less impactful and more inclusive
