| dc.description.abstract | En la actualidad, las revistas científicas constituyen el principal
medio de comunicación de los avances de la ciencia, ya que anuncian
de forma periódica y continua los resultados de las investigaciones en el
ámbito de las ciencias, instaurándose, gracias a los organismos evaluadores,
como un instrumento de primer orden para la socialización del
conocimiento científico. En el presente artículo exponemos el origen y
desarrollo que han tenido en Venezuela las revistas científicas especializadas
en antropología, contextualizada con los diversos procesos en la
