Resumen en otro Idioma | In the last decades, interest in the study of anthropic phenomena that affect biodiversity and ecosystem services has gained interest and has been the focus of investigations by agencies, authorities, and communities. The Rabanal paramo constitutes an ecosystem in which anthropic intervention is strongly affecting due to the presence of coal mining and agro-livestock activities. This article aims to investigate the perceptions and knowledge of local population about the threats on biodiversity with the goal of achieving community characterization about these transformation engines. The main results demonstrate that the Rabanal paramo is highly affected as a consequence of a coal mining activity growth and, in a lower proportion, by agricultural activities; however, the presence of change engines belonging to the five categories proposed by the MEA (2005) and the PNGIBSE (MADS, 2012) is evident. |
