dc.description.abstractEl SARS-COV-2 es el agente causal de la COVID-19, pandemia que ha generado revuelo mundial, haciendo una transformación de 360° en la cotidianeidad de la humanidad. Enfocaremos el impacto que la COVID-19 ha tenido en la edad pediátrica, el papel que juegan estos en la transmisibilidad de la enfermedad, presentación clínica y cortejo sintomático evolutivo en estas edades, apoyo paraclínico incluyendo métodos diagnósticos etiológicos, imágenes y biomarcadores. Enfocaremos el Síndrome Inflamatorio Multisistémico Pediátrico asociado temporalmente con COVID-19 como complicación severa de la enfermedad; se enfatizará, basado en la evidencia las mejores alternativas terapéuticas y preventivas disponibles hasta la fecha.es_VE
