| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo se examinan las ideas y realizaciones educativas de Laureano Villanueva, quien,
mientras ejerció la Presidencia del estado Carabobo (1890- 1891) y dirigió el Ministerio de
Instrucción Pública (1906-1907), promovió la coeducación, el desempeño magisterial de las mujeres,
la multiplicación de escuelas rurales, la edificación de planteles adecuados para la actividad escolar y
la promulgación de un código que la reglamentara en la entidad carabobeña; con el propósito, expreso
en sus formulaciones sobre la materia, de fomentar la instrucción pública venezolana y ampliar sus alcances.
Las fuentes que lo sustentan, documentales y hemerográficas principalmente, arqueadas en varios archivos nacionales,
constituyen la base de los aportes y las novedades en este estudio de ideas entroncado con historia de la educación. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | This article examines the ideas and educational achievements of Laureano Villanueva, who, while he was president
of the state of Carabobo (1890-1891) and directed the Ministry of Public Instruction (1906- 1907), promoted
coeducation, the teaching perfor- mance of the women, the multiplication of rural schools, the building of adequate schools for school activity and the promulgation of a code that will re- gulate it in the Carabobo state; with the purpose, I express in its formulations on the matter, to pro- mote Venezuelan public instruction and to broaden its scope. The sources that sustain it, mainly docu- mentaries and newspapers, arched in several national archives, constitute the base of the contributions and novelties in this study of ideas related to the history of education. | es_VE |
