dc.description.abstractEn este estudio analizamos y comprendemos la sublevación realizada por los esclavizados bozales, ocurrida el 4 de enero de 1794, en la hacienda Trapiche de Guayabita. Ese acontecimiento se originó debido a los maltratos del mayordomo Joseph Medina hacia los esclavizados; quienes cultivaban la caña de azúcar y trabajaban en la producción de azúcar morena, papelón y aguardiente. Los insurreccionados destruyeron parte de la infraestructura del trapiche e hirieron al mayordomo. Ante esa situación, intervinieron las autoridades y el propietario de la hacienda, decidiendo solucionar el problema solicitando la libertad de los detenidos y ofreciendo una indemnización al mayordomo.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1In this study we analyze and understand the uprising carried out by the enslaved muzzles, which took place on January 4, 1794, at the estate Trapiche of Guayabita. Th at event originated due to the mistreatment of butler Joseph Medina to the enslaved; they cultivated the sugar cane and worked in the production of brown sugar, papelon and aguardiente. Th e insurrectionists destroyed part of the infrastructure of the trapiche and wounded the butler. Faced with this situation, the authorities and the owner of the estate intervened, deciding to solve the problem by requesting the release of the detainees and off ering compensation to the butler.es_VE
