Relatos andinos como visión del pasado y el presente. Un acercamiento etnohistórico a los mitos de Arco y Momoy (Boconó, Edo. Trujillo)
Resumen
Los distintos significados culturales de algunos mitos que permanecen en el imaginario andino venezolano, han sido estudiados sistemáticamente por algunos investigadores desde las tres últimas décadas del siglo veinte, valiéndose de la etnografía, la arqueología, la lingüística y la historia. Sobre las bases teórico-metodológicas de estas investigaciones y mediante nuestro propio trabajo etnográfico, abordamos los mitos del Arco y el Momoy, tomando en cuenta los aspectos que nos permitieron observar su importancia histórica para la sociedad andina, específicamente del municipio Boconó en el Estado Trujillo. Para esto aplicamos la metodología etnohistórica, compilando una serie de relatos orales mediante el uso de entrevistas abiertas, contrastándolas con la documentación escrita, histórica y antropológica, que nos permitió reconstruir el imaginario colectivo, así como el contexto histórico-cultural de estos mitos andinos.
