| dc.description.abstract | En mayo de 1968 ¡qué fecha! Se edita el disco / manifiesto “Tropicalia,
Panis et circenses”, que recoge un esfuerzo colectivo de síntesis del naciente movimiento Tropicalista. Entendido como la recuperación de la línea evolutiva de
la música popular brasilera, el Tropicalismo pretendió retomar el impulso que la Bossa Nova había supuesto en el panorama musical brasilero desde la aparición del disco “Chega de Saudade” de Joao Gilberto en 1958. El trabajo que aquí
se presenta intenta reconstruir las implicaciones del Tropicalismo desde dos
categorías fundamentales: “ser brasileros” e “izquierda + festiva”, procurando
contextualizar el desarrollo del Tropicalismo como un fruto diferenciado de la cultura política del Brasil de los años 50 y 60. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | May 1968 (What a month!) witnessed the publishing of the record/
manifesto “Tropicalia, Panis et circenses”, that compiles the collective work of
the Tropicalista movement. Understood as the recovery of the progressive line
of Brazilian popular music, Topicalismo attempted to revive the impulse that
Brazil's music panorama had lived since the publishing of Joao Gilberto's record
“Chega de Saudade” in 1958. The following essay is a reconstruction of the
implication of Tropicalismo from two main categories “being Brazilian” and “the
left + the festive” and it contextualizes Torpicalismo as a differentiated product
