Ello supone no confundir las doctrinas con los hechos políticos que se dicen o suponen suscitados en nombre de ellas. Los acontecimientos políticos pasan, mientras las doctrinas permanecen tal como siempre fueron. La Independencia de América no fue producto de la Revolución Francesa, como opinan varios autores, sino de los principios de derecho natural político de francisco de Vitoria y la Escuela de Salamanca.es_VE
