| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo se ubica en el contexto
de Venezuela en el periodo1999-2011.
Se analiza el desarrollo de
CECOSESOLA en tanto experiencia
innovadora en los terrenos de la
autogestión y la participación
desarrollada durante más de cuatro
décadas en la ciudad de Barquisimeto
(estado Lara) y otras entidades de la
región centroccidental venezolana.
También se analizan los desafíos que
afronta CECOSESOLA a partir de sus
propias dinámicas y de su inserción
en el contexto sociopolítico venezolano
actual. El trabajo incorpora el análisis
bibliográfico sobre el contexto
nacional, estudios sobre la experiencia
seleccionada así como información
recabada a partir de trabajo de campo,
en el marco de una estancia de
investigación (marzo-abril 2011) con
la utilización de metodología

framework of the development of
cooperatives in the context of
contemporary Venezuela and in
particular the Chavez period (1999-
2011). From there it analyzes the
development of CECOSESOLA as an
innovative experience in the areas of
self-management and participation
developed over more than four decades
in the city of Barquisimeto (state of
Lara) and other territories of the centralwest
region of Venezuela. It also
analyses the challenges faced by
CECOSESOLA in relation to its own
dynamics and the current Venezuelan
sociopolitical context. The paper
incorporates a bibliographical analysis
about the national context, as well as
information gathered in field work within
the research carried out during the
period March-April 2011 using a
