| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo revisa la evolución de los acuerdos de complementación económica que han avanzado México
y Brasil, sobre todo referentes a la integración en el sector automotriz, que se han extendido también a los
demás miembros del MERCOSUR. Estos acuerdos sitúan el Acuerdo Estratégico de Integración Económica
bilateral que se negocia actualmente y aportan elementos para evaluar la probabilidad de que se convierta
en un acuerdo de libre comercio, sobre la base de la subcontratación internacional de tipo técnico, aunque
también se incluye la laboral. Los buenos resultados de este tipo de subcontratación internacional técnica
automotriz abren opciones para que se extienda a otras ramas manufactureras y al sector energético en el
cual la energía renovable, la eficiencia energética y otros asuntos de clima y energía son temas de la agenda
global, interregional y bilateral.

| dc.description.abstract1 | this article reviews the evolution of the economic complementation agreements that mexico and Brasil have
advanced, especially those concerning integration in the automotive sector and that have also spread to
other Mercosur members. These agreements put the bilateral Strategic Economic Integration Agreement
that is being negotiated and they advance elements to evaluate the likelihood of transforming it in a free
trade agreement, on the basis of technical international subcontracting, even tough it also includes labor. The
good results of this kind of technical international subcontracting in the automotive area open options for its
extension to other manufacture branches and the energy sector in which renewable, energy efficiency and
other climate and energy issues are global issues on the agenda, interregional and bilateral
