| dc.description.abstract | Estudiamos la riqueza, diversidad y abundancia de los anfibios y reptiles del Centro Experimental Amazónico y sus inmediaciones, ubicados al
sur del piedemonte Andino-Amazónico. Trabajamos en dos áreas, abiertas y bosque secundario, usando diferentes técnicas. Cuantificamos el
80% de las especies esperadas, para un total de 248 individuos adultos y catorce lotes de renacuajos, representados en 53 especies, 33 de
anfibios (62%) y 20 de reptiles (38%). Los índices de diversidad indicaron que esta comunidad presenta muy altos valores, con baja dominancia
de especies. Las curvas de abundancia relativa mostraron una mayor proporción de especies en categorías de baja abundancia; encontramos
baja semejanza con diferencias significativas entre las dos zonas de muestreo, indicando que las especies de anfibios y reptiles son
particulares y propias de cada hábitat lo cual se relaciona principalmente con la heterogeneidad espacial. Este estudio incrementó el número
de especies reportadas para el Departamento del Putumayo en 18 especies y revela altos niveles de riqueza y diversidad esperados para el
piedemonte, los cuales están disminuyendo por diferentes actividades antrópicas que conllevan a la perdida de hábitats y extinción de
poblaciones de anfibios y reptiles. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | We was studied the richness, diversity and abundance of the amphibians and reptiles of the Centro Experimental Amazónico and
sourrondings, located in the southern Andean-Amazon slope. We worked in two areas, open and secondary forest, using different techniques.
It was reached 80% of the prospective species for a total of 248 individuals and fourteen lots of tadpoles, representing 53 species, 33 of
amphibians (62%) and 20 of reptiles (38%). The indexes of diversity showed that this community presents a very high diversity and low
dominance of species. The curves of relative abundance showed a bigger proportion of species with low categories of abundance; we found
low likeness with significant differences among the two sampling areas, indicating that the species of amphibians and reptiles are particular
and characteristic of each habitat, all related mainly with the space heterogeneity. This study incremented the number of species reported for
the Putumayo Department in 18 species, and reveals higher levels of richness and diversity for the slopes than the spected, which are
diminishing due to different human activities that bear to the lost of habitats and to the extinction of many populations of amphibians and
