Resumen en otro Idioma | In recent years, palm heart (Euterpe precatoria) has stirred up a remarkable interest among the Amazonian people due to the economic income generated by the palm products sale, however, studies on the handling of this species are relatively scarce. In this way, the main objective of this study was to carry out an experiment of seed germination using six pregerminative treatments. The results showed a greater success for treatments T4 and T5 with 100% of seeds germinated, thus a seed could germinate if there is a partial release from the testa, allowing a way out for the embryo to continue with its growth. Statistical analyses showed a highly significant difference between treatments (P < 0,01), indicating that treatments T4 and T5 were significantly superior to treatment T1. The results showed a direct relationship between the factors such as time of germination of seeds and germination energy, this means that treatments that germinated first, showed an increased growth and an increased height of the plant. |
