Resumen en otro Idioma | A poetic work can be, at the same time, an argumentative discourse, as in the case of the book in verse Duda y amor sabre el Ser Supremo (1985), by Damaso Alonso. Here we ask what it is that makes certain argumentative texts poetic and in which levels of the language are located what we perceive as poetic and persuasive. Thanks to functionalism, it becomes possible to integrate, on a solid lingui stic foundation, the ancient sciences of poetics and rhetoric, to thereby carry out an analysis of the micro- and macro-structures of expression and content. This research discove rs, through the analysis of the text, a strong interdependence between the poetic and conative functions. |
