dc.description.abstract1The present paper is an analysis both of Chavez´s proposals for the reformation of the constitutional right to private property, and of the "legal" practice of the regime regarding private property. To acomplish this analysis, the sources of the Chavista movement in the works of Marx and Engels are reviewed. Both, the Chavista practices and proposals are contrasted to the traditional key-stones of the Western world, classical republicanism and Christianity.es_VE
